Saddleback Scorpions is a 501c non-profit association.
We are based in South Orange County and invite BOYS from grades 2nd-8th. The Scorpion teams play other competitve teams in the South and NORTH Orange County . We are part of the Orange County Lacrosse Association (OCLA) www.oclax.org
Playing aganist: Gold Coast, Hewes, Irvine, Pioneer, Tustin Tigers, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Yorba Linda, Los Alamitos, and Long Beach.
Scorpions are a year round program playing and registering for the following seasons:
Winter: November-March (OCLA, Rec. League & Starz, Club Level Only)
Spring: March-June (Earthquake Lax Rec. League)
Summer: June-August (OC Starz) Club Level ONLY
Summer: Elite 7/8th grade travel team to go back East
Fall: September-November (Earthquake Lax)
There are three divsions within the program: Boys: Grades 2-4th (Stingers), Grades 5/6th (Junior), and Grades 7/8th (Senior). Players of all ability levels from any school in the Saddleback Valley and Capistrano Valley School District are welcomed. Each season, the staff will evaluate the players and assign them to the appropriate team based upon grade level, experience, athletic ability and skill level.
To play lacrosse you will need the following equipment: Lacrosse Helmet, Shoulder Pads, Elbow Pads, Gloves, Cleats, Protective Cup and Lacrosse Stick (Check with us for starter package deals).

Saddleback Scorpions Lacrosse mission is to promote the sport of lacrosse and elevate the level of play within our community. We play all players as equally as possible with the goal of teaching the fundamentals and providing a positve experience for all involved. Scorpions are dedicated to providing a quality lacrosse experience to participants of all ages and ability levels, while preserving the honor and spirit of the game. We endorse the following principle qualities: Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship, Safety, and of course have FUN.....
Postive Coaching:
Encouragement of player effort provides for greater enjoyment by the players and ultimately leads to better-skilled and better-motivated players. We use coaching methods called PCA - Positive Coaching Alliance; enforcing sportsmanship, ethics, and helping today's youth meet tomorrows challenges, through Lacrosse.

Established in 2009, the Scorpions aim to be the premier instructional and competitive youth lacrosse program in Southern California.The Scorpions are under the direction of Russell Wilhelm with over 15 years coaching experience.
